An advanced type of riding with natural stunts drops and jumps to flat. This course is tailored for aggressive mountain bikes to meet the demands of exposed roots and ruts that will keep you in your toes.

Soquel Demonstration Forest is a location that probably ranks in the top three of the favorites of most mountain bikers around the Bay Area. Its official status is different from most other mountain biking locations: Instead of being an open space preserve, or a national, state, county, or city park, Demo Forest is a state forest with lots of technical singletrack trail. On average, it’s a descent from Aptos Creek Road, but it does have a couple of short and steep climbing sections that might catch you by surprise on your first time here. For the most part is like an amusement park ride, and occasionally throws challenging technical sections at you. Features well-banked S-curves.

Participant Notes

Be prepared for hot conditions, as well muddy trails. Layered clothing, sturdy shoes, and eye protection are recommended. Bring water for drinking, as there is none available during the ride.
